February Back to School!

It's been an interesting few weeks weather-wise!  Despite the interruptions in school, students have been completing some phenomenal works in art class.

Kindergarten and First Grade students completed Winter Trees.  Very appropriate for this time of year!  Students used watercolor, cut paper and crayons to create these images.

Second grade students just finished their unit on Picasso.  Through this study, they learned how to accurately draw a portrait in proportion, then they learned to "break the rules" by creating a portrait inspired by Picasso's Cubist style!

Two grade levels have been studying one point perspective.  Fifth and Sixth Grades are completing cities, and the Seventh and Eighth Graders combined one point perspective with Surrealism.
