MARCH ART NEWS

MICHIGAN ART EDUCATION ASSOCIATION
REGION 11 STUDENT ART EXHIBITION

I was very proud to see Bethlehem student art in this year's annual competitive exhibition.  As the former Curator of Education at the Saginaw Art Museum, I had hung the exhibition numerous times. I was so happy to participate as a teacher this year!  Congratulations to our talented artists.  And good luck to Katie Henry - her art traveled to East Lansing today to be judged at the state level!

I'll be letting you know about more art shows in the future. . .be on the lookout for news on the Fashion Square Mall art exhibition!

SQUARE ONE ART FUNDRAISER
In order to raise funds for the art program at Bethlehem, I had students participate in the Square One Art fundraiser.  Through this program, student art gets printed on all kinds of cool products.  Hopefully you've picked out something (or a few things) that you'd like!  Original art, order forms and all money are due to me on Tuesday, March 8.  I'll be getting all orders ready for shipment after school on that day. Our shipment will be arriving during Easter break, so I will have you collect your orders from school following break.

All funds raised through this program will allow me to purchase supplies for teaching ceramics to the entire K - 8 grade student body this spring!

THANK YOU
Thank you to all of the parents that I've met thus far that have welcomed me to the Bethlehem family.  I am so blessed to be back at a school that I attended in my formative years.  I look forward to meeting more of you!
